We have Finished!!!!!

Hi everyone - well, we have finished!!! The London 2 Brighton Challenge 100km - tough last 4 hours but we made it!!!!

The FINISH

We Made it!!!! The last 6km were touch and go for us once we hit 94 km. We were both on our last legs and had to take a short break to recharge our batteries!!! That "second wind" kicked in and we motored on to Brighton Racecourse and crossed that finish line!!! Go Team Maisy xx

Still walking !

We have been In the pitch black , in the woods by ourselves since our last stop with the Boys at 75km. It has been like something from "Tenko" and believe me we have been to Hell and back!!!! By far the hardest thing either of us have ever done in our whole lives!

We have fallen so many times and cannot wait to get to the end now !

Past half way!

All ok. Reached 53 km and lots of blisters! Support Team have been fantastic and patched us up- back out now for the nightshift!
Cold and very dark so we will have to concentrate- say a prayer!

25km /16 miles completed

Keeping good time- just stopped and met the Support Team for lunch and a "foot stop" - so so hot out there and the feet are already feeling it!!!!
Got to keep going!!!!

And we are off!

Less than one mile in and route flooded- everyone taking off their shoes and socks and wading through!
No Way ! We actually used the map and found another route!! Happy Days x

The clock ticks....

All ready and set to have a hearty breakfast- then off to the Start Line.

Well everyone, we are less than 24 hours away now. Just finished checking all our kit and checked in with everyone - nervous excitement would be a good word to use today!!! It looks like it will be pretty dry over the next couple of days, but I think we are prepared for EVERYTHING!!!

Phone, Ipod, GPS are all charging and the support vehicle will be with us soon. Here we come - 61 miles!!!!

Up above you will see the "Little lady" herself - Maisy Drew - CLAPA do so much to support families and allow little children, like Maisy, to SMILE. Thank you ALL so much for your fantastic donations and keep them coming - we are very near to out target now, so every little counts!!!

2 Days to go.....

Ok, well all the training we can do is now done. We can't really prepare for the tiredness that will inevitably kick in during the darkness hours, so we will have to deal with that as it comes!!! 4 Days to go!!!!

Last training walks done now- just tapering off with a bit of cardio before we depart for London on Friday- all filled with nervous excitement I think, and only time will tell how we all find the sheer endurance of the distance. 8 days to go!!!

Thank you all for those kind donations that flew in yesterday and to everyone that has supported  us for this challenge. It is greatly appreciated by TEAM MAISY and by CLAPA. Only 8 days to go now and we all have our official numbers and micro chips for our shoes- so full steam ahead!!! Im off into town now armed with a final shopping list for our last few essentials and then I think we are done!!! One last big walk tomorrow and then a gentle week of cardio before our departure for Richmond on Friday 11 May!!!!
